These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, landing pages, online booking tools, and any services provided by All Type Floors (“All Type Floors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including flooring supply, installation, repair, removal, preparation, and related services across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and any other areas we may serve from time to time. By accessing our website, submitting a form, requesting an estimate, communicating with us by phone, SMS, email, or social media, or hiring us for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our website or services.

The scope of our services includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, tile, carpet, and other flooring products; removal of existing flooring; subfloor inspection and preparation; trim and transition installation; and repair work where agreed. The precise scope of work for your project will be set out in your written estimate or quote, and any later agreed-upon changes or additions will form part of the contract between you and All Type Floors.

Estimates provided by All Type Floors are generally free of charge and are based on the information available to us at the time of inspection or consultation. Unless otherwise stated on the estimate itself, estimates are valid for fourteen (14) days from the date of issue. Final pricing may change due to material selections, product availability, actual measurements, job-site conditions, additional work requested by you, or issues that were not reasonably visible or disclosed at the time of the estimate. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of any material changes in price before proceeding.

Scheduling of work is always subject to our availability, supplier timelines, and site readiness. We may provide an estimated start date, window, or timeframe for your project; however, such dates are approximate and not guaranteed. Start dates or timelines may be adjusted due to weather, delivery delays, supplier issues, staff availability, health and safety conditions, access problems, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will strive to notify you as early as possible if any changes to scheduling are necessary.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as follows: where materials are being supplied by All Type Floors, payment for materials (or a material deposit) is typically required before orders are placed with suppliers. Remaining labour and any outstanding balance are generally due upon substantial completion of the project, meaning when the agreed primary scope of work has been finished, even if minor deficiencies or touch-ups remain. If alternative payment schedules, staged payments, or financing arrangements are agreed upon, these will be clearly described in your estimate or contract.

Deposits, where applicable, are used to secure your booking and/or to purchase materials specific to your project. Once custom or project-specific materials have been ordered or purchased, that portion of the deposit becomes non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer protection laws. If you cancel after materials have been purchased or after work has begun, you may remain responsible for the cost of materials, restocking fees if applicable, and the value of labour performed up to the date of cancellation.

You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is reasonably accessible and ready for our crew on the scheduled dates. This includes providing safe, unobstructed access to the workspace; moving furniture, personal items, and fragile objects out of the work area before we arrive (unless we have explicitly agreed to do this for you at an additional cost); securing pets and children away from the work area; and ensuring that utilities such as power and lighting are available. If the site is not ready or accessible at the scheduled time, additional charges or rescheduling fees may apply.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information about the job-site and existing conditions, including but not limited to prior water damage, moisture issues, uneven subfloors, structural concerns, past renovations, and known problems beneath existing flooring. All Type Floors is not liable for delays, additional costs, or damages arising from conditions that were concealed, undisclosed, or not reasonably visible at the time of the initial estimate. If such conditions are discovered after work begins, we will inform you and provide revised pricing for any necessary additional work.

Many flooring installations require additional components or preparation that may not be fully known until the existing flooring is removed or the subfloor is inspected. This may include subfloor repair, leveling, moisture mitigation, replacement of damaged areas, installation of trims or transitions, removal and reinstallation of baseboards, and related work. These items may incur extra charges beyond the initial estimate if they are not part of the original scope but are necessary to complete the job safely and according to industry standards. We will make reasonable efforts to discuss and obtain your approval for such changes before proceeding.

You understand and agree that natural and manufactured flooring products may have variations in color, texture, grain, pattern, sheen, and tone. Samples, photos, and showroom displays are representative only and may not perfectly match the final installed product. Natural variations, minor differences between planks or tiles, shading variations, and normal aging or fading over time are not considered defects. All Type Floors is not responsible for differences in appearance due to lighting conditions, room orientation, or other environmental factors.

The installation process may involve cutting, sanding, grinding, or demolition that can generate dust, noise, and minor vibrations. While we take reasonable steps to minimize disruption and clean up the work area at the end of each day or upon completion, some dust or debris may remain. You are responsible for any additional deep cleaning, duct cleaning, or specialized cleaning beyond our standard job-site cleanup unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All Type Floors delivers installations in accordance with applicable industry standards and, where applicable, manufacturer installation guidelines. We provide a workmanship warranty on our installation services for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion, unless another period is specified in writing on your estimate or invoice. This workmanship warranty covers defects in installation only and does not extend to product defects, which are covered solely by the manufacturer’s product warranty, if any.

Our workmanship warranty does not cover damage, failure, or defects caused by misuse, neglect, improper cleaning products or methods, excessive moisture, leaks, flooding, spills, pet accidents, heavy or improper furniture use, abuse, impact, abnormal wear, lack of maintenance, house settling, structural movement, or any work performed by others after our installation (including other trades damaging the floor). Our warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, natural aging, or aesthetic preferences that change over time. Any warranty claim is subject to inspection by All Type Floors, and we reserve the right to determine whether the issue is covered.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of All Type Floors, including its owners, employees, subcontractors, and agents, for any and all claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to our services, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to All Type Floors for the specific service or portion of the project giving rise to the claim. In no event shall All Type Floors be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, loss of value, or inconvenience, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

With your permission, which may be verbal or written, All Type Floors may take before-and-after photos or short videos of your project for documentation and marketing purposes. We make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing personally identifying details, such as faces, family photos, or other sensitive items. These images may be used on our website, social media, digital advertising, and promotional materials. If at any time you do not wish your project to be used in this way, you may inform us, and we will respect your request going forward.

By contacting us via our website, forms, phone, SMS, email, or social media, you acknowledge that we may communicate with you using these same methods for purposes related to your project, estimates, scheduling, customer support, and, where permitted, marketing. Where required by law or carrier rules, we will obtain your consent to send marketing SMS or email communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email and can opt out of marketing SMS at any time by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE. These Terms refer to our handling of services, while more detailed information on our data practices is set out in our separate Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

Our website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, photos, and design, are the property of All Type Floors or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view, print, or download content for your personal, non-commercial use related to evaluating or using our services. You agree not to reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, scrape, data-mine, or exploit our website content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or resources for your convenience, such as product manufacturers, review platforms, or payment portals. These third parties are independent of All Type Floors, and we do not control or endorse their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and governed by their terms and policies. We are not responsible for any damages or issues arising from your use of third-party sites.

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your project after a date has been confirmed, you agree to provide as much notice as reasonably possible. Short-notice cancellations or repeated rescheduling may result in charges to cover lost time, mobilization, or expenses incurred. Any specific cancellation or rescheduling terms noted on your estimate or invoice will apply in addition to these general Terms.

These Terms, along with any written estimate, work order, or contract that references them, constitute the entire agreement between you and All Type Floors regarding the subject matter herein and supersede all prior discussions, emails, or understandings, whether oral or written, related to the same work. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation.

We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or business practices. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using our website and services.
